End of times

Next year is 2012 and I'm not sure how to approach it. On the upside, it doesn't appear the world will end next year. Instead, Bolon Yokte K'uh will come and visit on December 21 for about a week. That's if the Mayans figured it out right thousands of years ago of course.
Curiously enough, the Mayans didn't predict the coming of the iPad 3 or... maybe Bolon Yokte K'uh is Mayan for iPad 3? Surely the release date is wrong though?
