We're really excited to announce the launch of a new free advisory service for ITP Corporate Partners, helping put in place (or update) systems and processes for developing your staff and IT capability.
ITP launching Skills Development Advisory Service
From Monday 11th February, ITP will be offering a free advisory service for ITP Corporate Partners to help put in place professional development pathways for your IT teams.
This gives you access to some of the leading SFIA and skills management consultants in New Zealand, at no cost, to help get you started.
Our experienced team will help you assess where a framework like SFIA can best assist in developing your staff and IT capability. We'll work with you to put in place a plan to gain greater understanding of your current capability, map out your future requirements (aligned with your overall strategy), and create a roadmap to get there.
Best of all, this service is completely free for ITP Corporate and Educational Partners!
You can then either run with this plan yourself, hire a third party to implement, or contract our new SFIA consulting arm Partner Consulting to help with implementation.
This is the first of several new services in this space. While at this stage this is only available for ITP Corporate and Educational Partners to develop their teams, there will be additional tools released to help individual members with their career planning over the next 12 months.

Interested in digital skills? Be part of the conversation
ITP is a founding member of the Digital Skills Forum, a coordinating group of government agencies and tech sector bodies working to align initiatives to improve digital skills across government and the private sector.
On behalf of the forum, we'd like to invite you to register for a significant Digital Skills Hui taking place in Wellington on 27 March, 2019. The hui is free-to-attend but tickets are strictly limited and we really want to ensure that as many people as possible from the ITP community have the opportunity to attend.

- preparing for the future of work

Input needed: AI and micro-credentialing in Bachelors Degree
The University of Waikato (UoW) have asked for the input of ITP members regarding the content of future courses they will be offering to students in relation to Technology and Computer Science.
They intend to offer a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree majoring in Computer Science, with an emphasis on AI technologies starting in 2020, possibly the only one of its kind in New Zealand. To ensure this qualification is industry appropriate they are liaising with ITP and technology businesses to help them shape their approach.
One of the ways the University intends to deal with the fast-changing nature of the sector is to supplement the existing core modules of the degree course with micro-credential courses covering new and emerging technologies. They're very keen to understand what you think are the current trends.
