Enterprise Architecture is a relatively new discipline, which treats a business - including its supporting ICT capabilities - as a whole, with a view to increasing its capabilities.
To date, its adoption has largely been in the domain of Government and Big Business, but it is applicable to enterprises of any type or size. In fact, it could have a greater effect on the efficiency of a smaller enterprise in a significantly shorter time.
This presentation will outline the purpose and objectives of Enterprise Architecture (EA) and then describe its components and their relationships in more detail. In addition, some of the challenges of EA introduction and implementation will be discussed.
Topics will include:
- An outline of the objectives of EA
- Strategies for obtaining Business Buy-In
- Outline of an implementation methodology
- Modelling approaches for the integration of the various architectures
- Affordable tools to support EA development
