ITP's Wellington Branch is pleased to welcome Paul Monk from Fujitsu NZ.

Paul will be presenting on his real-world experiences in managing IT change, considering Disaster Recovery objectives, the Continuity needs of the Business and that operating in the Cloud does not mean you can abdicate your accountability for business continuity.

IT change Management can easily become either overly burdensome or too superficial. Both result in ineffective Change Management. At this event you will see how right sizing your change management function can deliver effective and efficient management of change.

With many organisations moving to "as a Service" a common catch cry from the business is that we now don't need to bother with all that resiliency, replication and redundancy because the Cloud provides all that. This is a naïve approach and one that can be very damaging in the event of a true disaster.

Paul will talk about IT change from internal and external perspectives. What change can be standardised to justifiably minimise change management process, what change really needs that deeper analysis, what change from your providers do you need to be advised off, what change conflict management do you need to put in place, what risk profile requires what change due diligence.

Come along and get answers to these questions and more. Feel free to bring you own change management challenges to discuss as well.
