NZCS ISSIG: Weather Report from the Internet Storm Centre

The threats we face are ever changing, but how are they different from 1 year, 2 years, 3 years ago? What can we expect in the future?

As one of the handlers at the Internet Storm Centre, Mark Hofman has a unique view of the internet and the different threats present.

The Internet Storm Centre sees what was, is and will be and how they evolve. In the presentation Mark will go through a number of the things that the Centre has seen and how they evolve.

About The Speaker

Mark Hofman is a consultant at Shearwater Solutions. He is also an incident handler for the Internet Storm Centre as well as one of the SANS Institute's instructors.

He has been working in information security since the early 90's. He has worked for both private industry and government and has provided a wide range of information security consulting services to numerous organisations, including the financial sector, private sector, and government.

Mark has had a number of publications, has trained and lectured internationally.
