With the transition from the IT Certified Professional (ITCP) to the Chartered IT Professional NZ (CITPNZ) programme there is an additional requirement to sit and pass a Breadth of Knowledge (BOK) test within a set time.

This session provides an introduction to, and overview of, the Breadth of Knowledge test. The session will provide attendees with an understanding of the intent and mechanics of the test as well as the practice test.

References and links will be provided to available resources for the bodies of knowledge covered by the five test categories:

  • Strategy and Architecture
  • Business Change
  • Solution, Development and Implementation
  • Service Management
  • Management Support and Professional Issues

In addition to specific bodies of knowledge, there are complementary aspects of the IITP professional framework that support and inform the breadth of knowledge required of a CITPNZ.

These aspects will be covered:

  • The SFIA framework
  • IITP Code of Ethics
  • IITP Code of Practice
  • The Professional Knowledge Curriculum
  • Continuing Professional Development

For current CITPNZ holders, this session has been organised to provide support and encouragement to take the BOK test sooner rather than later.

For IT practioners and students seeking to understand what the IT professional certification is all about, this session will provide a comprehensive and accesible overview.

There will be ample opportunity to ask questions and all questions and answers will be made available afterwards. (NB. Some questions may require research and the answers confirmed before they are published.)
