Strategy that delivers

You have an executive that has defined the strategic direction, set business goals and objectives, and created a business plan. Great - now how do you decide what sort of IT investment is the right for you? How do you create an IT strategy that supports those goals? Do you even need an IT strategy?

The difference between average and leading organisations is their ability to set direction, and then focus effort on those goals. It is a critical input into the governance process, allowing executives and boards to make better decisions on ICT investments. Equally important as knowing the direction is being able to communicate it in a way that it is meaningful to management, staff, and external partners.

This half day workshop is designed for senior IT leaders who want to improve the value they deliver to their organisation. The course covers the features of a good strategy, and to focus on what matters, working with stakeholders, and what takes a strategy from "shelfware" to a document with impact.

The workshop will use a participative approach using the materials for participants to begin creating their own strategy. Real world examples will be used to illustrate the approach.
